Situated in Nanaimo on beautiful
Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Our
company Karscot Distributors© was established in
the fall of 1993. Initially our primary
products were educational resources for schools
and home educators. As you move through our
website you will see that some of our products
are still geared to children and to
education.
It wasn't too long before we branched into the
inflatable Amusement ride industry, importing,
selling, and exporting amusement equipment
as well as renting amusement rides. Now that we
had a rental division we had to establish a
name that our clients could relate to therefore
in 1997 we changed our name to the double
barreled name of Karscot Distributors / Fun
Zone© which
properly reflects the diverse nature of our
business and our products, and
services.
Since our inception we have added
sterling silver, gold chains, and other
jewelry. As well as a variety of gift products
that include watches, novelties, board games,
videos, toys etc. As we progress through 2005
and beyond you will see the addition of other
unique products. Because we wholesale products
we are in a position to offer sourcing services
to retail vendors. If there is a particular
product that you are looking for just ask us we
may be able to source it for you.
Our
products are sold primarily around Canada,
and the United States, and as far away as Macau
in Asia, Bermuda, Northern Ireland, Scotland,
Philippines, Germany, Switzerland,
Australia, and Brazil to name but a few.
We have many satisfied customers that we would
be happy to refer you to. Please
ask.
We
attempt to provide new, and unique products.
That are of the best quality, at a competitive
price. Whenever, and wherever possible we
like to deal with Canadian, US, or European
manufacturers. However, that is not always
possible and sometimes we must have
products made in China. In those instances we
pay the manufacturers asked price, unlike some
of the huge box stores who drive down the price
of manufactured goods to the extent that the
manufacturer cuts cost by reducing pay and
or firing workers and having less workers
doing the same amount of work, or by
compromising the quality of the
products.
Because we are always on the look
out for new and innovative products, if you are
an inventor or manufacturer that has
a product or an idea for a product by all
means please contact us we may be able to help
you market your products.
Customer service is of paramount
importance to us. We endeavor to respond
quickly to your requests. When we receive your
email, or phone call. Under normal
circumstances you can expect a reply either
that day or within 24 hours. Please be aware
that we are located in a Pacific time zone,
therefore our day starts at 8am. PST. That
means for you folk in New York or Florida. We
are just starting our day when you are having
lunch. If you call us before that time you most
likely will get our voice mail.

credit card or other such payment methods. When
you click on the Paypal button found on our
website you will be taken to the secure form
page. When you shop on the internet ALWAYS look
for the 'Secure' site indicators. You can check
this by looking in the location bar of your
browser. All secure ordering sites will
have the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) or web
address as it is commonly referred to with the
following at the beginning https the
'S' is the indication that the page
is a secure page. Normally before you
are transferred to a secure page a drop down
warning will appear advising you that you are
being transported to a secure page.
Another way to tell if a page is
secure is to look to the left corner of your
browser (Netscape) if the page is secure you
will see a padlock image that will be in the
locked position and highlighted. In a
non-secured page this padlock icon will appear
as an open padlock, and it will not be
highlighted.

Shopping via the World Wide
Web can be both fun, and rewarding.
However, as with shopping offline it can also
be costly and risky from a financial point of
view. To avoid being a victim of internet fraud
there are certain steps that you can take to
protect yourself. Here are a few suggestions
that may be helpful:
1) Never deal with a
company that uses a box number for an
address.
2) Before you purchase any
products (particularly high ticket
products) from a website. Contact the
principle owners of the company. Make sure you
have ALL their contact information. Ask how
long they have been in business. Ask for the
phone number of the town or municipal office
that issued their license. Phone the licensing
office and ask how long the company has been in
business. Ask for the name of their ISP
(Internet Service Provider) Ask for referrals
of people who have purchased from them, and
follow up with them.
3) Never give out any
information to anyone until you are
satisfied that they are who they claim to be,
they are a legally established company, they
have been around for what you deem to be
a reasonable period of time, you have
all of their contact information, and
the information that you send is not
going to be compromised, or possibly
intercepted by a third party, and you are
confident that the recipient is going to
respect your confidentiality.
4) Wherever possible use a
third party purchasing method like PayPal, or
Verisign etc. When you use one of these types
of service usually there is no fee to you. Also
the person or company you are purchasing from
does not get access to your credit
card information, which offers a reasonable
degree of protection. There are many such
services on the internet check out sites like
Ebay and see what they are using. In
some instances especially on high priced items
vendors will not accept credit cards or Paypal
because the high merchant fees they must pay,
in those instances they may require bank wire's
which are fine with legitimate companies, but
do you homework BEFORE you transact.
Remember at the end of the day
there are no guarantees in life. Caution is the
watchword and the old adage is as true on the
internet as in everyday life 'If it sounds
to good to be true, then the chances are
overwhelming that
it is'
